Prescot Marketplace, Prescot

This proposal to transform a neglected public space in Prescot, Merseyside sought to reinstate this once prominent gathering place. Pigmented concrete is used for a new cafe/community centre; the colour matching that of the adjacent church. A new stepped seating area leads up to the churchyard and can also be used to watch performances in the square.
