Housing in Stechford, Birmingham

A new apartment building in Stechford, Birmingham. The site is a brownfield piece of land in a built up area around 4.5 miles east of Birmingham City Centre. The design features heavy masonry and deep reveals to give a strong sculptural presence and respond to the surrounding red brick buildings.⁠ When viewed from the ground, the articulated plan means the external planes combine to create a constantly changing skyline. The faceted elevations also ensure the building will appear to recede from long distance views.
